I’ve been shooting this Texas Star for several weeks now, here are my thoughts.
It’s incredibly well made. I have an engineering background and have designed sheetmetal products and I was very impressed with the design, fit and finish. I do not see a way to design it any better. The plates stay on when they’re supposed to, they fall off when you hit them. The star is balanced and rotates smoothly just like the real thing when you knock plates off.
I can’t stop shooting it! “Just one more time” I keep telling myself! I usually end up shooting it about 5 more times at that point. I have other IDPA reactive targets but this is the most fun.
My skills have improved significantly. At first it was tough at 10 feet, but now (after about three weeks and 4500 shots) it’s easy. I keep moving back, currently at about 14 feet and the movement presents a challenge.
Overall, this product exceeds my expectations in every way!
